Operation Rebirth (OR) is governed by a Board of Directors made up of Godly, Christian men who have a passion for strengthening today's families.

Director Emeritus- James R. Brian was a successful businessman in Scott, Ohio when he felt God was calling him to work with "problem" boys and their families. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Bible and Education from Ft. Wayne Bible College (Now Taylor University at Ft. Wayne), he and his wife and five children moved to Dayton, Ohio to set up and organize a ministry to struggling young men and their families known today as "Operation Rebirth". His wife passed away in 1987 and he married Susan in 1993. They have seven grown children and six grandchildren.

Executive Directors- Sam and Teresa Ronicker joined Operation Rebirth in February 2008.  They have assisted as special friends to the ministry over the past ten years and Sam served as Secretary on the Operation Rebirth Board of Directors since 2003.  Both came to the ministry as dorm parents after spending over 22 years in the business world. Sam became the Executive Director in September 2009 taking over day to day responsibilities of the ministry. Sam has a Diploma in Biblical Studies from American Bible College and both he and Teresa are Nouthetic Counselors. They work side-by-side to strengthen and restore families. They have three grown children and four grandsons.

 


Assistant Director/Teacher -
Roger Phipps has been with Operation Rebirth for twenty-nine years. He started a a relief dorm parent and evolved into a full-time teacher. He has worked with the Director to develop the educational ministry of OR. He has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Liberty University. He and his wife, Cheri, live in New Carlisle, Ohio and are very active in a local church.

Residential Instructors - The Recker’s are very excited to combine their experience and love of children with the Christian mission of Operation Rebirth to strengthen and restore families.  Both Recker’s have experience in foster care, adoption, residential care, family coaching and counseling.  Dan has his Bachelor's degree in Education.  He has worked in child care and education as a YMCA youth worker, substitute teacher, tutor, and Adriel Summer program staff. Bethlyn has been in the child welfare field for 15 years.  She is a licensed social worker, currently employed as a Family Youth Specialist and Therapist at SAFY in Sidney, OH.
